Kickstarter Update #4
Round 8 and Feeling Strong
Thank you, our fantastic supporters.
We went from 20% to 50% pledged in one week, and from 77 to 102 backers. We were featured in Fightland/Vice, Curbed, Buzzfeed, Medium, and Indiewire. We’ve been embraced by the most respected names in the local boxing, pro wrestling, and MMA communities, and we’re just getting started telling the story of the L.A. T-Birds and the punk scene. It’s gratifying and exciting to feel the growing interest in this amazing story, and our rapid social media growth mirrors that interest. So check out at The Olympic Auditorium Project page on Facebook, follow us on Twitter and Instagram–and you’ll see the community we’re building.
ALL OR NOTHING: In order for your pledges to be funded, we need to meet our goal of $60,000 by June 5. Remember Kickstarter is all or nothing: if we don’t meet our goal, your pledge evaporates–along with your chosen reward. So tell your friends about us and encourage them to contribute whatever they can. No pledge is too small.
A successful Kickstarter campaign takes tremendous focus and support and I’d like to acknowledge the dedicated group of people in our corner. I’d like to thank Willard Ford, Tony Peck, Nick Arnold, Kellie Cunningham, Karin Tracy, Ricky Drasin, Robert Benavides, and Kyle Hamabata. I’d also like to thank our friends Gene LeBell, Gene Aguilera, Ben Merlis, Michael Richey White, and most of all my wife, Stacie Stukin for her patience and support.
